Top 10 People You Should Invite

The great thing about a tournament is that your team may play more than one game per day. This makes a trip to the tournament wortwhile for those who may not typically attend during the regular season.

Top 10 "People You Should Invite to the Tournament"


1. Elementary & JV basketball players and their parents so they can preview the fun and excitement of participating in a varsity basketball tournament

2. Coaches of other sports at your school who are considering setting up their own tournament in the future

3. Your school principal and church pastor (admission is FREE for them!)

4. Former or current co-workers from your player's summer jobs who have been promising they would make it to a game "sometime this season"

5. Grandparents who love their grandkids

6. Aunts and uncles who are visiting for the Holidays

7. Alumni of your school who have returned "home" for the holidays and rarely get a chance to support your team

8. Booster club members who may typically be involved in operating your team's concessions stand, collecting admissions fees, or operating the scoreboard can travel to the tournament and simply root for your team. The work is already done!

9. Friends may enjoy watching lots of basketball or simply spending their free time between games socializing with you. Since last year's tournament Arthur has added two new restaurants. There is now a Subway and a restaurant that features Mexican food. Several teams make an annual tradition of visiting Yoder's Restaurant for the delicious buffet. A few fans have used their free time between games to browse small stores in Arthur as well.

10. They say that you should save the best for last. Parents...that's you! We work hard to make the tournament a fun, affordable event that the whole family can enjoy.
